Did you click here thinking you'd learn something new about us???
Oh come on now! OK.....for you extended relatives that may not know everything...
Eddie was raised in Charleston (on an island! really! John's Island, look it up on a map) He has a master's degree in Library Information Science. The best I can describe this is that he thinks like a librarian with a technical twist. His mentor and friend, Bob, recommended Eddie for a job in DC. In 1999 Eddie moved from South Carolina to DC for a contracting job with the FDIC, where he met his groomsman, Reg, and another good friend, David. Currently, Eddie works for Dialog, a division of Thompson publishing.
Me...well, I grew up "here". What I tell people is that I started on the east side of the Beltway and kept moving counterclockwise. (I'm at about 6 o'clock now.) My master's is in Human Resource Management, yes, I try to manage humans....or atleast their employee benefit issues. I've abandoned ship on the private sector and work for a County government now. (I now know that, contrary to popular belief, government workers are smarter than private sector; where else can you get a raise each year just for showing up and then get paid until you die if you come to work for about 25 years??)
Eddie & Amy met "on the docks" during a hot dog party. Hey, can't get more romantic than that, can you? We've been sailing together for about 2 1/2 years now. We spent a lot of the summer of 2001 refinishing the boat (Don't ever ask Amy to sand anything ever again!). You may meet Bob & Lisa at the reception...they were kind enough to host Red Shift in their backyard that summer. Then we were back on the water. At the reception, hopefully, you'll meet Martin & Ashley and Doug & Liz....they're our friendly competition.
So did you learn something new???
