- LaGaulios
- A wonderful, cozy, country French restaurant, 1106 King Street. Delicious food. Plan to spend $80-100 for dinner for two. Make reservations ahead of time, 703-739-9494.
- King St.
- King Street hosts an ecclectic range of restaurants: Murphy's Pub, Austin Grill, McDonald's, Joe Theisman's restaurant, 219 Club. Bread & Chocolate, Bertucci's Brick Oven, Hard Times Cafe (Cincinnati Chili), Scoop Grill& Homemade Ice Cream (cute old-fashioned ice cream shop). Either go early, or plan to drive around for parking. You will most likely end up on a side street (watch the parking signs) and have to walk a short block or two.
- Dinner Cruises
- If you're interested in cruising up & down the Potomac while eating, try the Dandy. I've never done it, but it seems crowded regularly.
- Dinner Theater
- The West End Dinner Theater is another cozy little place. The weekend of April 26th, they are performing The Pirates of Penzance. Their Children's Theater that weekend is The Emperor's New Clothes.
Arlington Restaurants
- Shirlington
- Shirlington is a neat little restaurant cluster with a movie theater. Try Cafe Grande, Luna Grille (homestyle, very affordable) or the Tapas restaurant.
- Clarendon
- Has almost any type of ethnic food available.
- Crystal City - 5 minutes from Sheraton
- A whole lot of hotel restaurants. Legal Seafoods didn't impress us the only time we went there. If you're looking for a good, very expensive steak go to Morton's or Ruth Chris.
- Pentagon City 3 minutes from Sheraton.
- Has an eatery and a couple of restaurants in the mall. A few restaurants outside the mall at Pentagon Row.Another definition of the subject
