- Sheraton National
- This is where we're having the reception. If you call them, they should give you a rate of $89/night. BUT (& I recommend this) if you book online, its only about $75. There's also a $16/night parking fee to park your car overnight. The good news is they just finished a HUGE renovation last year and the hotel rooms are wonderful!
- Discount hotels - Arlington
- I just found this site & the rates seem to be lower than if you call the hotels. Most of them are no more than 15 minutes from the Sheraton.
Try the Day's Inn on Arlington Blvd. I've never stayed here, but it's only a short (less than 5 minutes), easy drive down Washington Blvd to the Sheraton. Maybe 15-20 minutes from the church.
Anything that says Pentagon City or has Crystal in it will be about 5-10 minutes from the Sheraton...but has the advantage of having a metro station within walking distance.
- Discount Hotels - Alexandria
- More of the above, but probably not near a metro station. Eddie's dad has stayed at the Comfort Inn - Landmark on Duke St & said it's ok. (There's and IHOP next door.) This is right on I-395, a good central road to be near. Other hotels off I-395 are the Four Points Sheraton, Best Western Pentagon. I wouldn't stay at the Comfort Inn Alexandria though.
If you want to be closer to Old Town Alexandria & a metro, try the Hilton Old Town Alexandria or Hampton Inn/King St Metro, but you will pay for it!
Hotels in the heart of Old Town - Holiday Inn/Old Town and Sheraton Suites on St. Asaph St.
Anything on Richmond Hwy is probably too far to give you easy directions to the church and will be unpredictable with traffic.
